The II International Geology Championship «GeoVizov» has ended in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan. This year, 29 teams from 11 countries, including Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries, took part in the competition.

With the support of the National Committee of Geologists of Uzbekistan, the students of the University of Geological Sciences achieved very good results for their first participation in the prestigious competition.

“Uchkuduk” showed the best result after the host teams and took 1st place in the international competition, ahead of the teams of Kazakhstan and China.

The Championship included 11 types of competitions: 6 office competitions (Geological Section, Mineralogy and Petrography, Paleontology, Geochemistry, Testing on the Basics of Geological Knowledge, Oil and Gas) and 5 field competitions (Geological Route, Placer Testing, Radiometry, Hydrogeology, Organization of a Field Camp and Safety).
